Q&A with Chandra Kanive: HuLoop’s New Chief Product & Technology Officer
SHARE THIS:
As the newest member of HuLoop’s executive team, Chandra Kanive brings a wealth of automation knowledge and experience to the company’s AI-based, no-code platform. Below are some of Chandra’s reasons behind joining our rapidly growing company and where he sees HuLoop in the hyperautomation space.
Q: Why did you decide to join HuLoop?
A: HuLoop is at a perfect inflection point. It’s poised for rapid growth in the hyperautomation space with a proven product that’s being infused with new innovations and experiences. HuLoop’s hyperautomation platform has exciting possibilities to leverage a combination of our own technology with open source and third-party solutions—all while delivering a simple user experience designed to keep humans-in-the loop and at the center of automation initiatives.
While other companies are focused on 1-2 areas of automation, such as Robotic Process Automation or Software Test Automation, HuLoop offers a full scale, all-in-one automation platform. HuLoop’s technology suite includes Business Process Automation, Robotic Process Automation, Software Test Automation, Intelligent Document Processing, and Intelligent Data Automation, so businesses can meet all their automation needs with one provider.
It’s exciting to be part of a company that is defining new approaches to automation in ways the industry has not yet thought about.
Q: Where do you see Artificial Intelligence (AI) taking automation?
A: Important features of AI, such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Process Mining, will enable the expansion of automation capabilities into newer areas of the enterprise. AI is also helping deliver personalized automation at scale.
The advances in robotics and AI have spurred the adoption of Intelligent Automation, and the recent COVID-19 pandemic has only accelerated its adoption and usage. For instance, companies leveraging intelligent automation are seeing productivity increase more than 50%, cost reductions of 30-50% and more.
Additionally, the marriage between RPA and Blockchain is happening already. This convergence of technologies made its first appearance in the financial sector and is now extending into other industry verticals such as retail, healthcare, insurance, and others.
Intelligent Data Automation is another topic that interested me in HuLoop. Enterprise users spend a significant amount of time on non-role specific tasks dealing with data wrangling. In some cases, it is greater than 50% of their time. This is affecting their productivity and indirectly affecting the efficiencies in other departments. Part of this problem is because data is scattered across various disparate systems within an enterprise. At HuLoop, we want to identify, analyze, validate, and present well-federated, persona-based data that users can easily consume and process the data for automation.
Suffice it to say that Intelligent Automation is here to stay, and the challenge is in the proper design, planning, and governance to maximize business outcomes.
Q: What made HuLoop stand out to you?
A: While the adoption of emerging technologies sounds great, at the same time, we realize that not everything can be completely automated through technologies alone. Human judgment and actions are still crucial to complete a process end to end, and this is where we will provide easy-to-use interfaces for humans to get in and be in the loop. We want to let humans focus on creativity, design, judgment, interpretation, and appropriate emotional response, while the HuLoop hyperautomation platform handles an enterprise’s repetitive front- and back-office tasks.
Furthermore, HuLoop’s no-code/low-code capabilities will enable a vast range of non-technical users to use our application easily and quickly. We want to be complementary to an existing ecosystem of enterprise architecture that comprises people, processes, and technology.
Q: What is your first priority as CPO/CTO at HuLoop?
A: At HuLoop, I feel there is never a shortage of ideas, which is exciting. Our focus will be to pick the ideas that we think will generate both immediate and maximum value for our customers. There are so many use cases in industry verticals, such as retail, CPG, banking, insurance, and healthcare. With a talented management team and an exceptional engineering team, I feel HuLoop is really well positioned to address the needs of the industry and deliver a state-of-the-art, cost-effective intelligent hyperautomation solution.
